Two-Factor Authentication Setup

Add an extra layer of security to your account

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone in addition to your password.

What You'll Need

  • A smartphone (iPhone or Android)
  • An authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator)

Step 1: Install Authenticator App

Download one of these apps from your app store:

  • Google Authenticator (recommended)
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Any TOTP-compatible app

Step 2: Enable 2FA in CyberPanel

Steps:

  • Log into CyberPanel
  • Click your username in the top right
  • Select "Security Settings"
  • Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  • A QR code will appear

Step 3: Scan QR Code

  • Open your authenticator app
  • Tap "Add Account" or "+"
  • Scan the QR code shown in CyberPanel
  • The app will start generating 6-digit codes

Step 4: Verify Setup

  • Enter the 6-digit code from your app
  • Click "Verify and Enable"
  • Save your backup codes in a safe place
Save your backup codes! You'll need them if you lose access to your phone.

Logging In with 2FA

After enabling 2FA, you'll need to:

  • Enter your username and password as usual
  • Open your authenticator app
  • Enter the current 6-digit code
  • Click "Login"

Lost Your Phone?

Use one of your backup codes to log in, then disable and re-enable 2FA with your new device. If you lost your backup codes, contact support@webhostnet.in
