Two-Factor Authentication Setup
Add an extra layer of security to your account
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone in addition to your password.
What You'll Need
- A smartphone (iPhone or Android)
- An authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator)
Step 1: Install Authenticator App
Download one of these apps from your app store:
- Google Authenticator (recommended)
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- Any TOTP-compatible app
Step 2: Enable 2FA in CyberPanel
Steps:
- Log into CyberPanel
- Click your username in the top right
- Select "Security Settings"
- Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- A QR code will appear
Step 3: Scan QR Code
- Open your authenticator app
- Tap "Add Account" or "+"
- Scan the QR code shown in CyberPanel
- The app will start generating 6-digit codes
Step 4: Verify Setup
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app
- Click "Verify and Enable"
- Save your backup codes in a safe place
Save your backup codes! You'll need them if you lose access to your phone.
Logging In with 2FA
After enabling 2FA, you'll need to:
- Enter your username and password as usual
- Open your authenticator app
- Enter the current 6-digit code
- Click "Login"
Lost Your Phone?
Use one of your backup codes to log in, then disable and re-enable 2FA with your new device. If you lost your backup codes, contact support@webhostnet.in
