Setting Up Your Domain
After purchasing hosting, you need to point your domain to our servers. This guide covers the complete process.
Option 1: Update Nameservers (Recommended)
This is the easiest method and gives you full control through CyberPanel.
Steps:
- Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)
- Find the DNS or Nameserver settings
- Replace existing nameservers with ours:
- - ns1.webhostnet.in
- - ns2.webhostnet.in
- Save changes (propagation takes 24-48 hours)
Option 2: Update A Record
If you want to keep your current nameservers, you can point just the A record.
Steps:
- Log in to your domain registrar
- Go to DNS Management
- Find the A record for @ (root domain)
- Update it to point to: 65.108.3.177
- Also add/update www A record to: 65.108.3.177
- Save changes
Verify Domain Setup
After DNS changes propagate, verify your domain is working:
bash
ping yourdomain.com
The IP address should show 65.108.3.177
DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours. Be patient!
